An eighty three year old woman who has eight great grandchildren was involved in quite a successful hunt recently where she was able to down a buck weighing over a hundred and seventy five pounds and a moose weighing over six hundred pounds. After the successful hunt she said that she was quite excited about the results since it had been in several years since she had been able to get a deer. She also hadn’t been hunting for moose in over three decades and loved that she was able to have a successful hunt after so long.

When interviewed about her successful hunts, the grandmothers said that she had been hunting ever since her oldest son was just ten years old. She said that her brothers and her father all hunted when she was growing up and that she had started hunting over fifty years ago and had done so because her son needed someone to go with him. At that time, she got her first hunting license. She says that her husband hunted sometimes, but not as much as she did. She says that she got good at hunting when her friends showed her some tips and tricks.

Other hunters in the area have been known to be quite enthusiastic about their firearms and accessories with a number of locals owning multiple firearms complete with various types of ammunition and Patternmaster chokes. The grandmother wasn’t sure whether she had actually bagged the moose until the next morning when she returned to the site and found that the shot had been perfect.
